This Privacy Policy explains how Lenshouse (“Lenshouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information when you visit our website, create or use an account, request or rent equipment, submit verification information, contact us, or otherwise use our services.

Lenshouse is a camera gear rental service based in East Legon, Accra, Ghana. By using the site, you acknowledge this policy. Where a separate notice applies to a specific service, that notice is read together with this policy.

Depending on how you use Lenshouse, we may collect:

• Account details: email address, account identifiers, and the name or profile image associated with your sign-in method. If you use email and password sign-in, Supabase Auth processes your password; Lenshouse does not receive it in readable form.
• Verification details: your full legal name, phone number, area or town, house or GPS address, Ghana Card images, social profile handles, and guarantor name, phone number, and relationship.
• Rental details: equipment selected, requested dates, pickup or delivery preference, location, company name, notes, reservation status, and rental history.
• Payment details: payer email, amount, currency, payment reference, payment status, and related transaction information. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by Lenshouse.
• Technical details: device and browser information, approximate usage and security logs, and the cookies or session data needed to keep you signed in and protect the service.

We may also receive information you choose to send when you contact Lenshouse or communicate with us about a request, verification, or rental.

We use information to:

• create, authenticate, and maintain your Lenshouse account;
• review identity and rental eligibility information;
• respond to rental requests and manage reservations;
• arrange pickup, delivery, returns, and customer support;
• process and reconcile payments, deposits, and refunds where applicable;
• send account, verification, rental, and service communications;
• protect the site, equipment, customers, and Lenshouse against fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information. We use it for the purposes described in this policy and for other purposes we explain when we collect it.

If you choose “Continue with Google,” Google shares basic account information with Lenshouse through the sign-in connection, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifiers. We use that information to create or access your Lenshouse account, associate the account with your sign-in, and display account details where needed for the service.

Lenshouse does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, files, or other Google content for this sign-in flow. We do not sell Google user data or use it for unrelated advertising. To ask us to disconnect a Google sign-in, delete associated account information, or help with an account access issue, contact us using the details below. We may still retain information we are required to keep for legitimate business or legal purposes.

We share information only as needed to operate Lenshouse, provide the service you request, protect people and property, or meet legal requirements. This may include sharing with:

• Supabase: authentication, database, session, and private storage services.
• Paystack: payment processing and transaction verification. Paystack processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.
• Lenshouse personnel and providers: people who need the information to review verification, arrange a rental, provide support, maintain the service, or protect our equipment.
• Authorities or advisers: where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a legitimate request to protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not make your Ghana Card images, account details, or rental history public. We require service providers that handle information for us to use appropriate safeguards and only act within the scope of the service they provide.

We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account administration, verification, rental records, payment reconciliation, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. We review information that is no longer needed and delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

Verification uploads are kept private and are intended for access by you and authorized Lenshouse reviewers. We use access controls and other reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

You may ask Lenshouse to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to disconnect your Google sign-in, withdraw a consent where applicable, or explain how we handle a particular piece of information.

Some information may need to be retained to complete a rental, keep accurate financial or safety records, resolve a dispute, or comply with law. We will explain any limits that apply to a request.

We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
